DQ - Shoppingcommented on Apr 5 2013 7:02PM |
| I enjoy shopping at Seasons however, the language is a barrier as the employees do not speak English. Another thing is how can you have a cash out that only take cash in such a busy grocery store. This is a dum idea. Lsat but not least, the customer service section say closed/another cash is available, yet they cash out their own people. That is very wrong. |

| This is true that the staff there needs to speak at least some English. My native language is English but in order to better integrate with society especially in these times I took the initiative to learn three other prominent languages. I believe that the other major grocery chains should and must take a look at the model of these types of stores and make their prices more competitive and there would be a whole lot more satisfied and happy customers. Also, one tends to wonder the status of these non-english speaking and young ethnic employees. Maybe this is the reason they can't learn to speak English and are probably compensated accordingly $. Observation, there are only one type of individuals working there as in all these ethnic stores. |

Girl Friday - Who really cares?commented on Apr 27 2012 4:35AM |
| Why is it that 90% of the people complaining about the language barrier have the English grammar equivalent of grade school or less? What do you possibly need to say to anyone to buy groceries? I do not go into Longos expecting to chat up the cashier or the produce stackers. |

| Been here quite a few times already and really enjoyed shopping here because of the quality of food that is affordable to me, but what surprised me was that their service wasn't too bad, it's just the language barrier thats holding them back from helping us. Plus the store is elegant and much cleaner than others. |

Oscar - Please Go Away!commented on Jul 8 2011 6:37AM |
| There are english signs in each aisle directing people to produce. If you can't find something, there are many free ESL classes all over the city ready to assist you with your literacy. Expired meats are repackaged in the high end grocery stores as well. There are no laws against it and it is up to the discretion of the meat department. Sanitation is an issue in every food establishment. Do you really think those black specks in your pizza crust are really from the organic stone ground wheat in your gourmet meal? Sorry to tell you they aren't. No one has died from eating dirt and all your vegetables grow in it. If you don't like it, PLEASE don't shop here. The crowds are worse than Walmart on a Saturday afternoon. I LIKE the employees, the selection, and the prices. I would be most grateful and appreciative if everyone who was dissatisfied to PLEASE shop elsewhere so I can enjoy less crowded aisles, less busy lineups, and a closer parking spot. |
lv - no english person /very impolitecommented on Feb 18 2011 2:22PM |
| we come to the store and spend our money so we should get people who can speak english and not just say nothing and ignore you they must realize if we don't shop they do not have jobs to keep the store open management needs to hire different races to improve on communication and hospitality towards customers. |

Sarah - Quality is nicecommented on Oct 18 2010 12:15PM |
| Generally, this store looks much better than Ocean in terms of quality and customer service. Although some of the cashiers and workers cannot speak much English, most of them still helped as much as possible. And lastly, the meats and vegetables are very fresh and affordable! And it's also very nice to have them open on holidays too. very convenient. |
debbie - lack of customer service/englishcommented on Sep 15 2010 12:31PM |
| last week i was there shopping asked where to find an item and the staff could not help me. They did not understand me and what i was asking them to help me find. I was feeling so lost and other customers were saying they should have staff that speak english to help serve the customers. This is not the first time I have been through this situation. |
Big G - Service liarscommented on Sep 9 2010 7:50PM |
| Cheap prices is what brought me there. But when there, you buy a whole bunch of things .... I bought Chinese Lunch. Bought 5 dishes and asked for Cutlery and napkins and was told it was packed. I got one fork and two napkins for dinner for 6 when I got home. And the food was crap as well. |

| Be careful, I was told from someone who used be there and saw. The food such as meat and chicken are repacked eventhough they are already expired or short date. !! Also some fresh meat fell down from the chopped table and the employee picked it up and packed it like nothing ever happened. !! It seems cleaner but it is just what we see outside, we need real sanitization. Staff are unbelievable unfriendly and hardly speak English. Stink from time to time. |
